Joseph Keller was a man who dedicated 30 years of his life to defending our country. He enlisted in WWII, was active during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He had many duty stations and brought his committment to excellence to every place he was stationed. Even though he died in 2010 at the age of 89, his committment to excellence lives on in my life and I hope he is proud as he watches his family in our daily lives. We miss you Pop!!!

Glen “Butch” Kelly passed away July 12, 2012 he was 65. Memories of him will be cherished by his wife Ruth Ann, daughters Rebecca and Barbara, and five adored grandchildren. After his service to his country (combat duty and two purple hearts), Butch continued to serve others through the VFW in Hamilton Ohio, not only as a chapter commander; but tirelessly helping many vets secure the benefits entitled to them and their families.
We will miss his quick wit and hearty laughter.
Rest in peace Butch.

Conflict: World War II (1939-1945)
During WWII as one of her jobs Kathryn nursed paralyzed vets in the deep south. When her brother was killed those very same Vets took up a donation so she could afford to go home for his funeral. She has supported them all her life until she just recently passed away.

My late husband served two tours in vietnam and recieved numberous medals. It was something he didn’t talk about, but he was a hard worker and sometimes cried over what he saw and participated in. Len was inspiring to our young people here on our reservation, that they too wanted to join.

My husband SFC Norris Galatas was injured in Iraq in 2005 when he drove his truck over a buried IED. After spending four years in Walter Reed Army Medical Center and undergoing 19 major surgeries, he is medically retired and lives at home with his service dog “Willie”, his dog Sable, his five horses and his wife. His story is published in a book entitled “A SOLDIER’S COURAGE” and is available at Amazon.com. This book is a celebration of the courage and professionalism of our men and women in uniform. They are heroes because they choose to wear the uniform so that we don’t have to. http://www.amazon.com/Soldiers-Courage-Janis-W-Galatas/dp/141967952X/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1309492077&sr=1-1..
